 (Shenandoah Valley Brawl-2010)

 Augusta County Bass Jon’s is Sponsoring 

                         an  

 Open Bass Fishing Tournament.

  All Proceeds will go to the Augusta County Bass Jon’s to

help with Kids' Fishing Day, make a donation to the Verona Food Pantry, 

 and to help purchase awards.

 

 Date:  Saturday April 24, 2010 

 Time: 7:30AM – 3PM Weigh in @ 3:15pm 

 Location: Mill Creek Lake in Amherst County VA                          

  All Boats are welcome Artificial Bait Only   

 Pre-Registration   Fee: $25.00 per Team  

       At the Lake is $35.00

  Limit to only 30 boats only - two persons per boat

 Prize will be (One winner- one check) $200.00 

 There is a 14-inch slot, (State regulation)

 No fish under 14 inches

 ( 5 Bass Per Team)

Tournament Rules & Regulations

  

1)      All state fishing regulations apply.

2)      Each team will consist of no more than 2 people.

3)      There shall be a limit of 5 bass per team.

4)      Contestants may fish only with artificial bait only by boat.

5)      There is a 14 inch slot, (State regulation) No fish under 14 inches.

6)      Weigh in will begin promptly at 3:15pm Teams who are not docked

 by 3:00pm will be penalized 8oz per 5 min late. 

7)      Fishing may not start until fishermen are released by the Tournament Director.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st place  One winner one Check $200.00 

8)      An effort must be made by all teams to release fish alive and healthy after weigh in. 

9)      In event of a tie, winner will be determined by each team's largest fish  

10)  Please beach your boat until the weigh in is over.

11) Please keep fish in your live well until your number has been call.

12) After the tournament is over please be careful load your boats and watch out for the traffic.

  

All entry forms and pre-registration fees of $25.00

are due to Augusta County Bass Jon's by April 16, 2010.

 If you want to pay at the lake it's $35.00

The Augusta County Bass Jon's & Amherst County Department of Recreation assume

AC Bass Jon's would like to thank everyone who showed up to the open tourny. We had 16-18 teams show up to fish the toughest lake we have scheduled. A lot of fish were caught by all, but getting those fish over 14 inches proved tough for most. All the teams was trying to brake the Mill Creek Crus it trying to get 5bass over 14.Maybe next year.Fish were caught on the usual plastics and jigs.

AC Bass Jon's would like to thank everyone who showed up to the open tourny. we had 22 teams show up to fish the toughest lake we have scheduled. a lot of fish were caught by all, but getting those fish over 14 inches proved tough for most. a lot of the bass were on beds and couldnt be coaxed into biting. the hottest lure to use was dynamite, but i dont think any anglers had any in their tackle boxes. fish were caught on the usual plastics and jigs . heres the run down of the results...
